The founding of BYRÅ AS was a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, where two well-established companies in the Norwegian music industry saw the opportunity to join forces in order to create something new.

BYRÅ is a joint venture company owned and operated by indielabel/publisher daWorks and production house/label/publisher The Woods. The company is currently working with artist-producer duo ZIDA and Umami Tsunami.

BYRÅ is both a label and music publisher.

daWorks Records AS was established spring of 2000 and has since been one of Norway’s most successful small indies focusing on popular music. The sister company daWorks Music Publishing was established in 2008. daWorks focuses on artist and songwriter development in Norway for the Norwegian and international markets.

daWorks Music Publishing represents some great songwriters and their works. A handful of songwriters write or co-write songs for artists and their recording projects.
